Proposed Seafin Itinerary to Buckler’s Hard, Beaulieu River
Guests board at Port Hamble or other agreed location from 9am and enjoy a breakfast on board of bacon rolls and brioche.
At 10:30am you depart from Port Hamble down Southampton Water towards Cowes. We sail over to Cowes and west along the coast of the Isle of Wight before turning towards the mainland and into the mouth of the Beaulieu River. We slowly cruise up the Beaulieu River, a nature reserve owned by Earl Montagu of Beaulieu, to Buckler’s Hard, where we moor up at around 12:30pm.
Buckler’s Hard is a beautiful and historic village, famous for building Men ‘o’ War for Nelson, amongst others. Guests disembark for a visit to the Master Builder’s House Hotel and sightseeing or they may simply stay on board and relax.
Lunch is served on the aft deck and in the saloon at about 1:30pm. At approximately 2:30pm Seafin sets sail and gently makes its way down the River and back over to the Island. Depending on the prevailing currents and winds we anchor in an appropriate bay where the two jet skis and paddle boards can be launched for the guests’ pleasure. Swimming, sunbathing and relaxing are the order of the day.
Drinks and refreshments are served all day and afternoon tea is served at around 4pm, returning to Hamble at around 5:30 pm.
Guests must wear soft shoes and we recommend that you bring a towel and wind/splash jacket, sun cream and sunglasses.
